Streptoura (strep-toh-YOU-rah) is a unispecific genus for a Colombian species that is distinguished by a thick, rigid sepaline tube with very thick keels along the veins within. The sepals terminate in thick, twisted, corkscrew-like tails. Streptoura caudivolvula Kraenzl.
