Additional Information:  Found in Brazil in both the cooler mountain regions and the hotter lowland areas. 

    This species is more temperature tolerant than many other Octomerias and does well in shady, cool to intermediate, or even warm conditions as long as it has high humidity, year-round moisture and good air movement.
