Other Information:  M. Blue Angel is M. Kimballiana (M. caudata x M. veitchiana) crossed with M. coccinea.  It seems that the influence from M. Kimballiana is very minute.  The flowers are all displayed on tall stems.  The interesting thing is the variety in color forms - all in shades of pinks and magentas.
