Additional Information:  M. Hoosier Premier is a cross between M. veitchiana and the multifloral M. pachyura.  Because of the multifloral species in the background, this hybrid also has some multifloral traits.  Each inflorescence has two flowers that open nearly together.  The color (at least in this clone) seemed to have gotten muddied from the orange of M. veitchiana with the white, pink and maroon of M. pachyura and the green and maroon of M. coriacea.  The flowers do have good substance.
