Alaticaulia carruthersiana  (Lehm & Kraenzl.) Luer

Named in honor of William Carruthers of the department of botany at the British Museum.

Additional Information:  Locally common but restricted to the mountainous forests of southeastern Ecuador at altitudes ranging from 3,930 feet (1,200 m) to 6,560 feet (2,000 m).
