Additional Information: M. velifera gave this little hybrid its form and a blush of color. M. tovarensis gave it the transparent sepals, upright inflorescences and two flowers per inflorescence.
This hybrid was named for Caroline Spoerl-Carpenter, a probationary judge with the Great Lakes Judging Center. She was told of this honor one week before she passed away.
