Additional Information: M. Copper Angel is M. veitchiana x M. triangularis.  M. Manco Inca is M. Urubamba (M. veitchiana x M. ayabacana) x M. veitchiana.  With all that veitchiana in this hybrid it is no wonder that the form takes after it.  The color is a pleasing rust-orange.  The substance is so thick it is like plastic.  The third clone even got the orange hairless "insert" in the lateral sepals from M. veitchiana.

This hybrid was the first I named after a friend of mine.  Annette Hall was one of the most devoted volunteers that Airedale Terrier rescue ever had.  She was involved in over half of the dogs taken in and placed throughout our region when she was active.  This red-orange flower reminded me of Annette's red hair.  Sadly, Annette passed away in September of 2003.  She got to see her namesake before she did.
