The genus Expedicula (ex-peh-DIH-que-lah) is a new genus consisting of twospecies that used to belong to the genus Trichosalpinx, then Lepanthopsis. These are small plants with ramicauls clad in lepanthiform sheaths; a single-lowered inflorescence; entire, acute petals; and a short, terete, wingless and footless column with an apical anther and stigma.
