Dryadella (dry-al-DELL-ah) has 40 or more species which were also treated as Masdevallia for many years. They are named for the dryads, the nymphs of trees and forests of classical mythology. They are tufted little plants with narrow, fleshy leaves. The little flowers with short, broad, angled petals are singly or successively produced on short racemes. They grow from Guatemala to southern Brazil. Photo credits are on each photo. Photos may not be used without permission.
