Masdevallia triangularis Lindl. From the Latin triangularis, "triangular", referring to the shape of the sepals.

Additional Information: Occurs frequently in the coastal mountains of Venezuela, but uncommonly and locally in the mountains of western Venezuela and adjacent Colombia and southeastern Ecuador at altitudes ranging from 1,640 feet (500 m) to 7,540 feet (2,300 m). |
