Dracula pholeodytes  Luer & Escobar

From the Greek pholeodytes, "one who lurks in a cave", in allusion to the appearance of the central apparatus within the deeply cupped, black interior of the flower.

Additional Information:  Apparently endemic in a small area of forested valley in the Eastern Cordillera of Colombia at altitudes of around 8,200 feet (2,500 m).
