The genus Chamelophyton (kah-mell-oh-FYE-ton) is a new unispecific genus consisting of one species that used to belong to the genus Pleurothallis, Barbosella, and Restrepia. This genus is characterized by a creeping, round-leaved habit, a single-flowered inflorescence, and six pollinia.
