Buccella (boo-KELL-ah) is distinguished by a caespitose habit, single flowers with carinate-crested ovaries without inflated floral bracts.  Sepals form a tube or cup with an inflated base.  The lip is divided by marginal folds.  Species here used to be in Masdevallia subgenus Nidificia.
