Named in honor of Harry Johnson, its discoverer.

Additional Information:  This is the only known pleurothallid species that may produce a raceme from the  primary stem as well as from the apex of the secondary stem.  From Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica and Panama at altitudes of around 3,280 feet (1,000 m).
