
Brachionidium folsomii Dressler
Named in honor of James P. Folsom, who discovered this species.
Additional Information: Widely distributed through Central America from Guatemala into Panama. Often grows in abundance, epiphytically on large tree trunks or terrestrially in humus or in the disturbed soil of road cuts at altitudes ranging from 2,620 feet (800 m) to 5,900 feet (1,800 m).
