Acronia perijaensis  (Dunst.) Luer

Named for the Sierra de Perijá where the species was discovered

Additional Information:  Apparently rare but widely distributed from western Venezuela to southeastern Ecuador at altitudes around 3,940 feet (1,200 m) to 6,720 feet (2,050 m).
