Acronia microcardia ssp microcardia  (Rchb.f.) Luer

From the Greek microcardia, "with small heart," referring to the comparative small size of the leaf and labellum.

Additional Information:  Especially variable in its wide distribution throughout the Andes at altitudes of 2,950 feet (900 m) to 8,530 feet (2,600 m).
