Additional Information:  Found growing terrestrially on fully exposed, wet, grassy hill-sides as well as on road cuts on the eastern slopes of the Andes from Ecuador into Bolivia at altitudes of 4,760 feet (1,450 m) to 9,840 feet (3,000 m).
