Acinopetala wendlandiana  (Rchb.f.) Luer

At the request of F. Sander, Reichenbach named this species in honor of Herr Oberhofgartner Hermann Wendland who grew the species to perfection.

Additional Information:  Widespread and local from the lowlands of the eastern slopes of the Andes in Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil and Peru at around 400 feet (120 m) to 980 feet (300 m).
