Acinopetala herradurae  (Lehm. & Kraenzl.) Luer

Named for the vicinity of Rio Herradura (Spanish herradura, "horseshoe") where the species was first discovered.

Additional Information:  Endemic in the Central and Western Cordilleras of Colombia where if grows in cloud forests at altitudes of 1,640 feet (500 m) to 5,900 feet (1,800 m).
